Privacy Policy

Novamya is a site you read. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no reason for us to know who you are. This page describes what is collected anyway, because some things are unavoidable when a web server sends you a page.

What we collect

Server logs

Our web server records each request it serves. A log line contains your IP address, the time, the page requested, the HTTP status returned, your browser’s user-agent string, and the referring page if your browser sent one. This is standard web server behaviour and is what makes it possible to diagnose errors and identify abuse.

Server logs are rotated and deleted on a rolling basis. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not shared with anyone.

Aggregate analytics

We measure how many people read which pages, so we know which articles are useful and which are not — this is what tells us to expand a page like what an SMM panel is rather than write a new one. It produces counts, not dossiers: how many visits a page received, roughly where in the world readers came from, and which site linked them here.

We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site pixels, remarketing tags, or fingerprinting. There is no advertising on this site, so there is nothing to target.

Email you send us

If you write to us, we have your email address and whatever is in your message. It is used to reply and nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list — we do not have one.

What we do not collect

• Names, addresses, phone numbers or payment details. Nothing is sold here.
• Account credentials for any social platform. Novamya will never ask for a password, a login, or access to any account you own. If a page claiming to be Novamya asks for one, it is not us.
• Comments. Commenting is disabled site-wide.
• Newsletter subscriptions.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies for tracking or advertising. WordPress sets cookies only for logged-in editors working in the administration area, which does not apply to readers.

You can block cookies entirely in your browser and every page on this site will work normally. Nothing here depends on them.

Outbound links

Some articles link to other websites, including two social media marketing panels we have a commercial relationship with — see the disclosure page for exactly what that relationship is. Once you follow a link off this site, you are on someone else’s property and their privacy practices apply, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.

Embedded content

We avoid embedding third-party content. Where an article needs to reference something on another platform, it links to it rather than embedding it, because an embed loads that platform’s tracking code into the page you are reading.

Where the site is hosted

Novamya runs on a server in Canada. If you are reading from elsewhere, the request necessarily crosses borders to reach it — that is how the web works.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.

In practice we hold almost nothing: server log entries tied to an IP address, and any email you have sent us. If you want to exercise those rights, or you simply want to know what we have, write to editor@novamya.com. To act on a request about server logs we would need the IP address and approximate time, since there is no other way to locate the records.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the revised date at the top of the page changes with it. We do not make quiet edits.
